GrapesLachaux’s Côte de Nuits Aux Montagnes comes from a high-altitude 2-hectare plot of 60+ year old vines rooted in the village of Comblanchien. In the cellar, the wine is vinified with 100% whole clusters and native yeasts, followed by aging in used barrels prior to being bottled unfined and unfiltered. No added sulfur is used. Expect a vibrant and textured wine laden with flavors of cool red berries, damp earth, and dried herbs.
